Some pics of the progress. All is looking good. The problem with these types of projects is once you make one part look nice all else looks like hell, so you have to go all the way and do it ALL! You've been warned.... Looking forward to my installation day.

I've spent the last several years scouring the world for a nice set of those louvers for the interior fresh air vent. They aren't reproduced and most are pitted quite badly (including the ones I had). I took a chance on an ebay listing a little while ago on these. They were described as original not needing to be rechromed. I had my doubts, but after I ground off the monting tabs and cleaned them up really good, they could almost pass for NOS. Now I just have to epoxy them onto MY panels since the panels were all cut up on the ones these came in. The chrome levers are luckily reproduced, so that's why those look like new. All the other parts have to be restored on this area of our fastbacks.

Spent the day working on my classics. Man it feels good. I sometimes wish I didn't have too many cars though, it'd be nice to focus on one for a change!!

I'm impressed with you classic car guys. Wish I had one. I'm gonna buy Joe's when he moves to Indiana. Maybe steal it, I'm broke.

I did some work to the "other" classic today! What a good couple of days! :)
