<raises hand>

Anyone still driving them? When do you put them away? I typically wait until I see salt trucks, then it's hibernation time!

As soon as the salt goes down, the car stays in the shop.

Rod has the Cobra with him at work today (not by choice). We typically leave it out til November 1 or when salt flies, whichever comes last. :thup:

Both are still out and will be till the snowballs hit us in the arse as my British friends say! plus we will be working on Eleanor this winter, we made it run now we are going to make it a tad bit more civilized! Resonators in front of the SpinTech mufflers and the front seats gotta go! Going with Corbeau we think! Plus gotta pipe up the AC! And recently the heater core (new) exploded,, what a mess that made!

No... i drive my car year round :( . Snow tires going on this week again. Don't have the room nor the $$$ for another car. It hasn't been that big of an issue w/ snow tires. :)

The 83 vert is almost ready for hibernation - as soon as the weather settles down this week, I'll drive it out of gas and then put it away.

The 05 GT is getting a set of Conti ExtremeContact DWS for all-season use - it's my "winter beater". I've driven Mustangs every winter since 1993, and was forced to drive GM FWD fleet cars for work before that. It made me realize that, 1 - 40 hrs/wk of windshield time during a North Dakota winter isn't that much fun, and 2 - Our time is short on this earth, and I'm going to take every chance to drive what I like to drive.... and do all the stuff I can't do in the summer, like donuts and 60-second burnouts... :geeza:

Hey, Nick - on the side street behind HyVee in Faribault was a Lumina for $1200 sitting in the front yard with a for sale sign on it. It looked good from the curb, even though it's a... "bowtie" :warmup: I promise not to tell anybody if you ended up with a non-Ford.

Cobra is still out, but this weekend will be the great swap. Mustang leaves the garage for the trailer, unfortunately not under it's own power. Corvette goes from storage bay to garage as winter project and Cobra into storage bay. Motorhome goes to storage lot and truck comes back for winter use. Feels a bit like musical chairs.

Well tomorrow would def be a good time to wrap em up :) as its going be Windy & cloudy. Snow showers and rain showers likely in the morning...then rain showers likely and a chance of snow showers in the afternoon. Snow accumulation up to 1 inch. Highs around 40. West winds 25 to 35 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent. :eek2:

LOL, Tell me more about this CORVETTE...
Picked up a 79 Corvette last week. A new race motor for the race car was more expensive than the budget could afford this year. Corvette was a less expensive option to have something that I could race, albeit slower., and it will make a nice street machine once fixed up. Can't race Cobra - too fast as a convertible and would hate to break it.

Hoping to get mine washed sometime this weekend and up on stands for the winter.

Gotta rotate the tires on the Fusion first though as I need the stands for that first.

Then that mournful call to the insurance company.... "Transfer the insurance on the 04 to storage instead of active policy...." :bncry:

The 05 has new rubber on all 4 wheels and is ready for winter. My weather pinky is saying snow by next weekend, so this might be the last great weekend for driving until spring. The vert is in the garage, but may get out for one more ride on Sunday, if I have time.

Now I have to decide if I want to try and work on the fuel issue and headers this winter or just wait for Spring.

I'm thinkin' Spring. Garage is far too cold, and have no $$ to put heat in. :(

I went for the last drive today in the '66. Drove it out the driveway, cleaned out garage, laid down plastic, and drove it back in. Gave her a little wash, put on trickle charger and put on cover. I guess we are done for 2010.
