just an interesting question i thought of, how many miles were on your toy when you bought it and how many now? was your car already modified when you got it? wut were they? what mods you got now?

ill start, mine had 174,xxx, now it has 198xxx, in less than a year.
it had a 3.0 swap and i think thats it. now it has eibach springs and a test pipe.

Stock no option when purchased. Had less than 10 miles on it (it was deliverd to the dealer in Nov 2008 and sat on the show room for 6months) prior to me purchasing it in May 2009. Now has ~10,000

options it now has - FRPP Hot Rod cams, FRPP Blue valve covers (they just look better that the original and make it go sooo much faster :hehe::hehe::hehe:) BBK Ceramic Long Tubes, BBK High Flow Catted x-pipe, BBK under pulley set and a custom tune.

Things it needs (aka I'd like:banghead::banghead:) 3" magnaflow cat back exhaust, MGW short throw shifter, FRPP intake manifold, FRPP 62MM throttle body, Livernois CNC heads:drool::drool::drool:

I think my car had around 80k miles on it when I bought it in 2000. It has around 150k on it now? I really don't pay much attention to mileage. The only thing modified on it when I bought it was the air silencer removed. At this point, the only original parts left on the car is the rear end, (most) sheet metal, glass, steering rack, and wiring. Not to say it was extreme modifications or anything. Some of it was just replacement parts to fix things I had buggered up, such as the engine block.

The Roush I bought in Sept..I had it 3 weeks before it went into hibernation..It has 10,000 miles on it..The only mod i've done is new wheels and tires..Probably won't do much more besides get the windows tinted and do something with the 10 foot antenna..The 99 I had previous to the Roush was stock with 33,000 miles when I bought it..I put 04 Cobra wheels on it..Eibach springs,Flowmaster exaust,Mach 1Grill delete,Mach 1 chin spoiler,Design Concepts light bar and moved the spoiler back about 2 3/4 inches.. was planing to do a Shaker scoop system next but ended up trading on the Roush...

Ordered my Cougar from the factory and picked it up in Nov of 98. It had around 10-50 miles on it. I have about 70k on it now 13 years later... It's
heavily modded. I think I only put about 10 miles it last year because I never got time to work through an idle issue that's been bothering me. I think it's tune related so I need to go through my SCT software and figure it out.

Thought with some new faces around that I'd bump this thread.

I am now almost at 75K. Last week I tore off (almost disintegrated) OEM quad-shocks for a set of KYB gas quad-shocks. Good improvement.

Just ordered today (URP products): Mustang Billet Battery Tray Hold Down Kit. My stock tray is beat-up and I keep failing tech at AX so I got fed-up lol.

What's new with you?

MadJack
07-02-2012, 11:36 AM
Well, body has 215,xxx.
Engine and trans have less than 50 mile since they were rebuilt.
tore trans apart and replaced worn items like 3rd gear lol also added a torsen lsd.
egine got all new gaskets and bearings, powder coated timing cover and valve covers.
Installed a madjack speed COP harness.
newer engine harnesses
painted engine bay, did some minor wire tucking.
deleted a/c
wilwood calipers up front on stock size drilled slotted rotors all around will be installed before cc
goes into paint this week end.

Bump to an old thread. what's everybody progress for currently 2013??

ZephyrEFI

My Zephyr had about 60,000 miles on it when I tore it apart. I'm pretty sure I'm the 4th owner. The original owner had it until pretty recently and traded it in on a Hyundai. The odometer on the '90 Mustang parts car read 54,000, but I'm thinking that's 154,000. My 302 is pretty beat. Anyway, the drivetrain in the Zeph is all '87-93 Mustang now. T-5 trans and 8.8 rear. Brakes are '01 Mustang in front and Mark VII in the rear. Ford Racing 4.10 gears, Qa1 tubular K-member and caster/camber plates, BBK strut tower brace, Steeda lower control arms in the rear. The rest of the car is a hodge-podge of parts from various different Fords. I'm slowly getting to where everything works well together, but the suspension/wheels are a major concern. It has '01 Bullitt wheels on it now, but I need more offset so I can lower the car to a more reasonable height. It sits WAY too high and rides horribly. The mixed bag of shocks and springs contributes to that too, i'm sure. I'm going to finish this year's projects with subframe connectors, get the car weighed and put some proper coilovers in the car to work with that weight along with some different wheels.

I'll bet I've put less than 10,000 miles on the car since I've had it (between swapping dashes, I'm not sure). I've always been dis-satisfied with something about it, so it mostly sits and gets driven to car shows. I really hope that changes in the near future.
