The process of shutting down the Mercury (http://www.autoblog.com/tag/mercury/) is complete. Ford (http://www.autoblog.com/make/ford/) officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010 (http://www.autoblog.com/2010/06/02/ford-kills-mercury-to-expand-lincoln/). In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money (http://www.autoblog.com/2010/06/04/ford-offering-dealers-up-to-200k-to-stop-selling-mercury/) to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September (http://www.autoblog.com/2010/07/12/mercury-production-to-cease-in-late-september/). The last Mercury, a Mariner (http://www.autoblog.com/model/mariner), rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October (http://www.autoblog.com/2010/10/04/report-last-mercury-for-retail-business-to-be-built-on-sunday/) and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job (http://www.autoblog.com/2010/11/17/jill-wagner-officially-retired-as-mercury-spokeswoman/). Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.

I found this page awhile ago and it has pictures of Hiroshima after we droped the bomb and a few of Detroit from the same time. Then their are pictures of Hiroshima now and Detroit now. Is it just me or do you feel sick looking at this too? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2349112/posts
