To pass inspection at NHRA tracks more than this year, you will need a helmet that has one of the ratings, M2005, SA2005, M2010 or SA2010. These ratings are on holographic stickers that are normally tucked up in the lining in the top of the helmet. I would go for a 2010 just to get the most life out of the helmet. Under present rules a helmet is good for 12 years from the sticker year. Where and what you buy besides that is more of personal preference. I've seen them at Fleet Farm that would qualify, I purchased my G-Force from Summit years ago. I like it. Jegs, Speedway, lots of sources, just make sure you get a 2010 to get the best life out of the helmet.

We actually can into an event last year (the COM autocross event at DCTC) where their rules read you could NOT use an "M" rated helmet.
It had to be SA rated and had to be 2005 or newer.

I don't remember if they laxed on that or not, but it was a "rules" thing.

M technically is motorcycle. SA is typically found in road racing, so that makes sense from an autocross perspective.
