Did better than I expected... 527 hp/ 533 tq

Prior car was a consistant 487/557 but had a "freak" run of 502 ONCE.

Currently has a hesitation under full throttle shifting 2 to 3 (possibly 3 to 4, nowhere around here to safely open it up that far). Thinking it is the PPRV.

May try swapping back in the stock throttle body and see if that clears it up... the BBKs are known to have an idle issue. We'll see.

Car is only running 20* timing now up top (was 23 before) and making nearly 50 more consistant peak horsepower.

Literally a 15 minute cool down between runs and the dyno pulls perfectly overlap each other time and time again.

Very cool.

No problem Shawn... I didn't see your message until just now.
With all the garage work, and now the leak in the basement haven't been on the board too much.

So was that with the Stieg "Snake bite" kit or?

Nope, no SnakeBite. This is the basic Stage 5 port. With supporting fuel mods and a BBK twin 65 Throttle body.

Pretty cool, fuel pump duty cycle was at just about 78% before this round of mods.
Adding the BAP and now even with the 60# injectors its only at 38%... lots of room to grow. :uhoh:

What did you change up for the added power? Looks like a flow mod, b/c the car liked less timing...

Congrats on the nice chart!!!

....

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.

Looked like he was kissing the engine or something. What was that all about?

He listening for predetonation, I don't think cobra's come with know sensors.

They usually wear a headset that they listen to when tuning. I know thats what DB used b/c my type of car can get phantom knock.

LadyCobra

It's actually a SHE that is leaning over. She had a headset on as well to protect her ears.

this. they always do that while tuning at DB. Never had a problem to my knowledge.

Would just hate to have a belt or something else break and have her seriously hurt. Still not smart, IMO.

I'm sure we've all seen dyno's gone wrong, right?

Yup, common loss with the Stage 4 was around 40 lb-ft whereas with the stage 5 with the torque plate that is reduced to about 20.

Steg claims the car should gain about 20 tq...

It in reality might, as Danny was easing into the runs so he could keep an eye on everything.
The Cobra's peak torque are IMMEDIATE upon pounding the accelerator, so by easing into it we weren't getting the typical torque spike.
