August 6, 2011 - SE MN FORD CLUB SHOW

We will be having our show again this year on Saturday August 6th from 10 to 2 at Holiday Ford in Austin Mn. Entry Fee will be 5 dollars and there will be a cruise to follow. Special Guest this year will this years Daytona 500 winning Woods Brothers number 21 Nascar. I believe just the car will be there not the driver.

the woods will not be there. im not sure who is bringing the car, but i guess the guy is from here in austin and he takes the car all over the nation.

Can you post a full-size brochure? That one won't blow up past the thumbnail size and I can't read a thing on it.

I don't know what you guys are talking about - I can read the number 21, so that's something :hehehmn:

In promoting the WC car show, we've been to Cottage Grove's community festival, the "Strawberry Fest", for several years. They always have a Greg Biffle car, because 3M sponsors that team. We looked into it for our show, and it's not as easy as asking them to come - to have a car like that for the Austin show is pretty special!

We'll be sure to put this down on our calendar. It was a good excuse for my wife and I to go flying afterwards last year, because KAUM (Austin airport) is where I rent planes.

Doug, I looked all over and couldn't find one of the new flyers from the last meeting. All we have are flyers from the Tri-Club show. Could you mail me some Austin show flyers, so I can scan and post one?

Congrats to Carson and his 2002 lightning on the trophy today!

We had 5 cars and 1 truck from our group from the cities and south. We had a blast with our group and lots of laughs. Looking forward to the next event!

Next year, I'll make sure I have enough time to go on the cruise afterwards.

Saturday morning was my final flight of a new endorsement on my pilot's license, and I snapped a couple of pictures of the car show at about 9:30am. The resolution on these isn't good enough to read a VIN number, but I think they're good enough to see MNFE members standing by their vehicles....

Got 'em Bob, thanks! That is really cool you were able to get aerial pics again this year. Now I have a new PC background to replace my A&W shot from the last cruise. I wish I could have gone on the cruise this year. Oh well, maybe next year.

Also, THANKS to all of you who were able to make it to the show!! We enjoyed having you show up as you sure bring some quality vehicles. Hopefully, we'll see you again next time!!
