Hey everyone, so I was just sitting in the Walmart parking lot waiting for my gf to come out. All of a sudden a stranger drives up to me. I'm thinking he probably want to race blah blah blah. But out of nowhere he hands me a card saying you were spotted. So I decided to join cause this seems like an awesome group of people.

Anyway a got a question and am hoping someone can help.

I just bought a 2003 cobra a couple days ago. But there seems to be a few problems with the car. When turning the steering wheel, there is a clicking noise coming from the front end. What could it be? Also, the front end passenger side is 3/4 in. lower than the front end drivers side. The rear of the car is even. Is it a bad spring or strut? The frame of the car looks good.

See if a friend can turn the steering wheel while you watch as the wheel turn. Maybe it's a bad tie rod end? Or maybe a loose fastener? Not sure about the difference in height.

Difference in height could be a missing isolator. Possibly the prior owner had the car lowered and lost one of the stock isolators when they returned it to the stock springs... "no one will ever notice"

As for the clicking, seems to me there was a TSB about steering rack making noise on these cars.

Get used to little noises and oddities of a terminator. It was built to be a brute plain and simple. :D

Welcome!

I'd be happy to let you do a side-by-side compare to my stock 03 Cobra in order to try and figure out what it might be. My front end is stock height. I agree with Rod that it could be a spring isolator. It ought to be pretty apparent.

Glad you found our club!

Nice, thanks for this man. That creaking noise is getting really annoying to listen to.
