For those that enrolled in this event, you should have received an email from Tom Hazen today (or yesterday).

Be sure to check that you did... only those that are "officially registered" received it.
They missed me (now corrected) so be sure to check your email.

Looking at the list, I see the following current/former club members listed (color coded for run group):
Rod Strumbel
Carson Turnquist
Frank Wix
Gary Hamlin
Brett Lindert

John Vilsack
Marie Swenson

Kyle Krenz

If you registered and your name is missing, let me know and I'll confirm I didn't
miss you in the list. This event is SOLD OUT, so if you are missing you need
to get ahold of Tom Hazen ASAP. Please check with me first though as I may
have simply over-looked your name in the list.

Thank!

Rod

There are still openings on the Aug 27th event

As for the Run groups,

RED means you haven't run at the Amery event before, (This is the newb stripe so to speak)
Green is for those that have been there a few times,
Blue means you have no hair, or you are a club member or veteran of their events (you be the judge).

Is anyone interested in meeting up and caravaning or should we just stick to getting there on our own?

Past couple years some of us met up at McDonald's in Hudson, WI and cruised in together.

As for the Run groups,

Who knows the logic here, I was in the first group last year, I think the green is the first group...

Sounds good. Does 6:30AM sound good?

That should be fine. Here's what we did last year.

6:30/6:45 - Breakfast at McDonald's in Hudson, WI
7:00am - Departing for Amery, Driving through Baldwin

McDonalds - Map for Location (http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=UTF-8&gfns=1&q=2411+Crest+View+Drive,+Hudson,+WI%E2%80%8E&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=2411+Crest+View+Dr,+Hudson,+WI+54016&gl=us&ei=bzcMTIajLY2Dngf_hO2JAg&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBUQ8gEwAA)

Earlier we get there, the better the parking spots to watch the cars and the course all day. This should put us there by 8:00am, when Check-In Starts for the day.

How long does this event last typically? I may want to go as a spectator, but my day is full with graduation parties and stuff.

We start around 9:30 as I recall (drivers meeting at 9:00), and finish up around (testing my memory here...) 5:30pm... there is a banquet dinner type thing at a Pizza joint in town after that where the certificates are handed out.

Right now both Sat/Sun don't look bad with 30% chance of rain Sat and 10% on Sunday. We won't know until Friday which day is selected for the event.

ACK.

Apparently a helmet to wear I do not have. Does anyone have an extra one they can bring?

FYI - For those wanting to meet in the morning at McDonald's, Rod and I are planning to be there by 6:30

John: We might. There will also be some extras there that they have on hand.

This sounds like a good time. Can't this weekend, but I'll try to attend in August. I've never been to an auto-x event before, but have always wanted to attend one.

All you can do is e-mail and ask if a spot has opened up.
