89 5.0 slightly modded fuel pressure question.

my 89 stang has no issues with starting or running, but when i checked my fuel pressure it goes up to where i had set it at 42psi and it drops to zero immediately. in my experience when that happens its usually the regulator or fuel pump, but i have replaced the regulator with an aeromotive one, and the pump is a 190lph bbk. any info would be great.

Maybe I'm missing it but where are the symptoms? More specifically, what is the problem you are having?

no symptoms, just fuel pressure drops off right away when i have a gauge on it.

no problems, i worked on an explorer today that had the same issue with fuel pressure and it has a bad injector that is dumping fuel. my car runs fine and starts fine doesnt bog out, just the fuel pressure dropping off so quickly is what has me boggled.
