In the past few years, Ford (http://www.autoblog.com/ford) hasn't done too many high-style concepts. Most of its design studies are generally previews of a future production model, with a few (http://www.autoblog.com/2010/04/23/beijing-2010-ford-start-concept/) recent (http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/10/ford-vertrek-concept-detroit-2011/) and distant (http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/07/detroit-auto-show-ford-airstream-concept/) exceptions (http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/07/detroit-auto-show-ford-interceptor-official-unveiling/). But the Ford Evos Concept (http://www.autoblog.com/2011/08/30/ford-evos-concept-is-a-sexy-sign-of-things-to-come/) stands apart.
Unveiled last evening and previewed here in Berlin ahead of its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show (http://www.autoblog.com/tag/frankfurt%20motor%20show), the Evos is the next step in the One Ford strategy, creating a new global design language to go along with its new global architectures. Whereas the outgoing Kinetic design was a stylistic turning point for Ford, debuting in Europe and then slowly making its way to the States in the form of the Fiesta (http://www.autoblog.com/ford/fiesta/) and Focus (http://www.autoblog.com/ford/focus/), the Evos is a clear picture of the future face of a global Ford.
