I figured I would show my weekend progress on the contour svt I bought from Grenade. Since I bought the car I bought a transmission from a 98 CSVT and had the differential installed into it along with no bearings.

I bought a carbon fiber hood and new rear bumper that has been painted and both installed. I stripped the roof down to bare metal and re-sprayed it (not hard but extremely time consuming).

:badidea:The hard part has been reworking the front bumper. When I bought the car the front bumper had three good tears in it and had deformed a little. I used a heat gun to move the plastic back to its original shape and used Duramix 04240 to glue the torn and cracked pieces back together. with that done I have been using some Rage Poly-Flex filler to clean up some of the low spots and deep scratches.

It has been a lot of work but I definitely think it is worth it, I was not able to find a good used one and new ones cost over $1,000...

Thanks! I was hoping to be done by now but I haven't had a ton of time. I was in California for work and the day after I got back my grandfather had passed away. It should be ready to take out by the end of the month though.

Thanks! I got a couple nibs of dust in the clear, but i will worry about wetsanding and buffing that once the bumper is mounted back on the car.

Now just if I could find a replacement bumper mesh
