i just received a speeding ticket going 74 in a 35, the officer only ticketed me for 31+ mph ticket, no wreckless driving, but he checked the "endangerment" box, im wondering if anyone has gotten this ticket and what might happen since it is a ticket that requires me to go to court instead of just pay a fine, i hope they dont take my license away :/...also on a side note i have a ticket 2 weeks prior for 80 in a 55 :/ doesnt help right...and yes im dumb and dont learn, before everyone comments on that part of it

The most you can do is talk with the prosecutor and see what he/she will work out with you. Remember you are guilty until proven innocent not the other way around. Plus it already sounds like the Officer is giving you a break. Fyi, if you get another speeding ticket with in the next 365 days you will have your drive rights suspend for thirty days.

Oohhh, that sucks. Sounds like you got off lucky for now, though. You were doing this in a Focus? Be glad it wasn't a red Mustang or you would probably be in jail.

74 in a 35 and a 80 in a 55? Not to sound mean, but 74 in a 35 is just ridiculous. There is absolutely no need for that.

Just curious, did you get ticketed in Woodbury? I live there as well, but have never been stopped by Woodbury's finest.

Please provide details of the car for sale...

Just kidding, good luck with your court appointment. My advise would be the same as mentioned above. Try and work directly with the prosecutor, arrive to court early so you have plenty of time to discuss it with them.

Hope it all works out!

I was 18 and I got a ticket for 83 in a 50 on MN-5 by the airport. Haven't had a ticket since... Two years ago I got pulled over for going 43 in a 35 on HWY 13, the officer asked me if I knew how fast I was going. I replied "Yes, I was going 43 in a 35". She replied back "This is a 30MPH zone" I said "No, the sign says 35MPH" she looked back agreed and told me to have a good day.

I am a pretty mild driver now at the age of 24 (almost 25) :biggrin2:

X2.... What you REALLY have to look foward to is your "new" insurance premium. :yikes: Bye-Bye tax refund...and then some. Ouch !!

Yep - very familiar with that entertaining strech of road. I'll be more mindful the next time I go that way to watch the speed!

If you haven't paid the first ticket, and they were in the same county, try and schedule a court date for the same day as the second ticket. Easy way to get one droped!!!

different counties, couldnt get the first dropped due to the speed according to the hearing officer but i did get a drop in price, will update on the second one when i get a court date figured out next week
