I'd find time... it's still too damned cold to work in the garage for any amount of time, particularly when laying on a cold floor.

MadJack

time for a garage heater it sounds like to me :) lol

HELLFYR

Had plans for a heater at one point, then everything in the world tripled in cost. End of garage modification budget.

MadJack
02-10-2012, 10:30 PM
how big is your garage rod?

HELLFYR
02-11-2012, 08:27 AM
3 car plus a bit. Currently with space for just barely 3 cars (damn I gotta get that joint cleaned up).

Hey Rod,
Is garage isulated? If so I have a brand new in the box 45,000 btu heater set up for LP but can be changed. It can be sidewall vented and have a through the wall cap for it. Needs only 1'' clearance from the top. I have one in my 2 plus partal insulated and it works great. Need 500.00 for it with the cap. Cap is a stainless and cost 95.00 wholesale. Let me know. I can also put it in.

The walls were already sealed when we bought the place, so not 100% sure on insulation or not. The garage typically doesn't get below 30* if the doors are kept shut, and it stays about 20* cooler than the outdoor temp in the heat of the summer, so I THINK it is insulated.

Anyway, that's a great price, just not something I'm up for tackling at this time.
Just got another $300 bill for "mandatory private saxophone lessons" from the middle school :nervous:

MadJack

A torpedo heater would also be a great tempory option.

Trade the Cobra for a Minivan. All temptation and frustration in your garage tinkering with the beast will be over! You also won't have to make hard decisions on the weekend regarding how to spend your time.

I can tell you, it's not a hard decision. Kiddos are first now. We make it to what we can for car related stuff. Sure we wanna do it all but the pride the kids and their accomplishments outweighs the car stuff any day.

Besides, we already have 2 Escapes, next vehicle purchase is another Stang to add to the stable.
