Agreed.
I tried to copy and paste from the email I received, but it severely hosed the format.
Nothing a bunch of typing couldn't resolve. :)

Awesome! This is going to be so much fun! Are we going to run in the same group? Or since I'm the newb will I be relegated to a separate group? In any event, I'm really looking forward to it! Should be a great day!

I seem to remember last year it was three groups.

1. Most Experienced - Have run the course multiple times
2. Experienced - Have run the course previously 1 or 2 days in the past
3. Newb's - Have never been on the course

I seem to remember the Newb's could ride along with the experienced once to get a feel of things before going out themselves. (If I am not confusing it with another event we went to last year).

Pretty sure the actual dividing lines were:
1) Austin-Healey Club members (which WOULD be the experienced group for the most part)
2) Those that have run this event before
3) Newbs to the event

However, if there are too many in one group and not enough in another, they will shuffle the groups around to balance things out.

And yes, anyone can ride with someone any group (or a spectator) provided they have a helmet as well.

You'll love it Mac, it's a blast. Nothing quite like coming around that last corner and
seeing the checkered flags way off in the distance down the straight away.

Gotta be careful you don't get a case of the "yips" and spin her out right there (aka Mr Wix).

Hey guys, so just doing a little searchin on the Auto Cross. I was registered last year and couldnt race, now this year I am trying to get the car finished up, have to do driveshaft yet and some other things. Not sure if I will be done in time or not.

To answer some of the other questions mentioned before yes, first group was experianced raced for AHCM 2 or more times before, second group was raced once before, and third was never raced with Austin Healey club before.

For the guy that hadnt registered in time. There are always people that sign up and then cant make it, such as me, I will be there regardless but will my car be ready. It comes to a first come first serve basis for the spots to fill. Last year I switched my spot to my buddy so he was in without having to wait. I will let you know closer to the event if I will or not, someone could take my spot, just would like to get my entry fee back out of it then.

Oh BTW I am Jeff C with the 94 TBird Blue
