Well I FINALLY get the damn contour title transferred, and on my way home it started sputtering like it wanted to explode...
Come to find the previous owner decided to re-engineered the main fuel line, that lost a 2 inch section of the hard plastic, with a rubber line and 2 clamps.
Over all I lost a half tank of fuel, and had a half heart attack.
Now I need to fix it, and the part is discontinued.
ANY THOUGHTS??

Put in another filter that fits the gap. Problem solved.

lol that's a lot better idea than I've been hearing. I might just do that.

Depending on what was modified, I may have some parts that might help..

From the pic, the only difference from the missing factory piece of line, is they put a rubber tube and 2 clamps over it.

go it a barbed fitting that will slide inside the fuel line and use to hose clamps to secure.

im gonna hit the parts store on friday, being i have a funeral tomorrow, and see if they have either a replacement hose for the section or a filter that I can put inline. Once fixed though, this car is going back up for sale. It has been nothing but a pain in my rump since I've owned it.
The only good thing is that I finally got the title transferred today, finally. lol

sry, was a drill weekend.
I picked a hard line repair kit, and got it on as best as I could... couldn't get the stuff to expand right. only slow drip now, but I'm going to take that off, get a hose and clamp the sh!# out of it and get rid of the car. This thing has been nothing but a nightmare for me, and I don't dare wait and see what happens next...

I picked up a piece of rubber line and 4 clamps. holding good, no leaking yet.
So I'll just suffer with that for now. Off to try and figure out how to get the hood back on. :D

Zipties or duct tape are my usual choices o.O

2 of my faves too, but I dont think they will work in this situation.
