If you are a classic car purist who cringes at the thought of a '57 Chevrolet (http://www.autoblog.com/chevrolet) Bel Air that is not "numbers matching," you may want to look away. If you are intrigued by what strange oddities the interwebs can turn up, carry on.
Found on the ever-fruitful eBay Motors (http://www.autoblog.com/tags/ebay), this custom-built "1927 Model T" is a *ahem* unique approach to old-meets-new, and gives new meaning to the term "Resto-Mod." Apparently, the owner calls is a rat rod, but eBay wisely classifies this Missouri resident as "Ford (http://www.autoblog.com/ford/) > Other." While the grille and frame are original, little else is. The body is wrapped in love-it or hate-it carbon fiber vinyl and rides on 20-inch custom wheels wrapped in performance tires. The engine is a 350-cubic-inch V8 with Edelbrock carbs, and the whole package has only 1,100 miles on the odometer.
Want a piece of this one-of-a-kind "resto-Model-T?" Just pony up the $18,995 Buy It Now. We're not sure how we feel about the car itself, but at face value, that seems like a pretty significant deal for such a unique piece.
