Sept 8th Osceola Wheels and Wings

Looks like a lot of stuff going on the weekend of Sept 8th, but in Osceola, Wisconsin there is a car show and air show. Went last year and it is a lot of fun. Radar run on the runway too. A lot of stuff for the kids and also pretty big car show. Discount on Classic Motorbooks publishing stuff too.

I went last year and there were a lot of cars 500+. Had about 50 planes with an airshow/stuntshow. Had a fighter jet flyover/landing. Free to get in and $25 for a speed run on the runway. It is also put on by Classic Motorbooks, so there was great deals on all of their published stuff and were givingaway free calendars by the palletload. There is also stuff going on downtown and have a shuttle from the airport.

A friend of mine Gary a mopar nut has been trying to get me there for years something always seem to come up so I haven't made it yet. Not sure about this year either. Gary has a 69 Superbird a 69 Daytona Charger and a 70 AAR cuda. His cars are on the cover of that publishers Mopar books. Gary says its a great show. I hope to make it there.

Talked to CofC of Osceola today. Open to all cars. 31 classes. Gates open at 7:00,judging at 9:00, awards at 2:00, over at 3:00

It is a judged show. A different Classic Motorbooks employee picks the best of each class. Last year I won the Mustang class with my MN State Patrol 89 Mustang SSP. This is my favorite show of the season (besides Car Craft), as you will see vehicles that you don't see at MN shows. I've been going since 1990.

We will be there. I think the runway run is about a quarter mile where they radar you. The runway is longer than amery but that is where they were set up last year. ? On the number of runs you get.

Was a fun day today. A little windburned but had a good time again. A lot of nice cars that you don't see all the time in the metro. Will be back again next year. Got a trophy too. Will have to do the radar run next year. Wish they would give you more than one run.

Congrats on the trophy!!! I agree about the cars. It was nice seeing some unique cars as opposed to the typical BTT50s and Car Craft stuff
