View Full Version : 2013 Mustang GT - anybody driven one?

Comparing my 05 to the newer Mustangs, there just hasn't been enough of a difference - it's a lot of money for not much improvement (other than the return of the fabulous 5.0, of course). But, the 13's have "track apps", 420hp, and it seems like a fair number of other improvements.

Thoughts? Impressions?

Rochester Ford has one with a manual transmission, and I might go over there for a test drive this week. I'll probably hold off until I can see what 2014 brings, but wanted to see what everyone else thought of the 2013.

What is coming in the 2014 Stang that you are waiting for? Or are you just thinking of waiting to see what 2014 brings? Either way, it's a tough call. No matter when you buy one, there will always be something "new" or "better" just around the corner.

I've had just the opposite experience.

I've driven my bosses 2006 GT auto vert and a friends 2009 GT manual coupe as well as a 2012 GT auto coupe and I have to say the 2012 beats the older ones in every single category.

Ford just keeps making them better and better, the 2005+ were very good but the 2011+ are simply amazing.

Probably awaiting the 2014 mustang 4 door sedan ahaha. Heard it's suppose to be at the 2013 Detroit auto show.

Seriously, I just was waiting to see what's next. I've heard good things about the 2013's, because the GT's have options that make them "almost" Boss302's. But, that also costs money, and I'm not sure it's worth it for a daily driver. NO FOUR-DOORS!
