On impulse, I listed my fastback on 2 sites and she sold in about a week. Guy from Indiana picked it up this morning. I still have my vert, so I'm not sad about it. I got good coin and have already reinvested most of it on a new project. Stay tuned this spring for more.....

Funny! the "other" one. I purposely cropped it to see who here can determine what it is. It's not too hard!

I'll have more info on the wheels and tires once I get the car repainted and can then get them off of there. I have to assess the condition of them along with the tires before determining an asking price. I have no idea what they are worth at the moment.

Yes, I am putting on stock wheels and tires but the "go fast" parts are staying on the car (:

She's going to the body shop this weekend. It will be FAR better than new when I'm done with it. I'm sort of fussy with this kind of stuff if you haven't learned yet about me..... (:

The best I can determine by the limited info/existing evidence I have, in the few short years this car has been alive (it's a 2006) the stripes have been replaced at least once. The most recent replacement was by a Ford dealer in CA who put the wrong size stripes on the car. There is also evidence of the stripes either being painted with something or cleared as I see tape edge lines. I'm guessing that whatever process this was reacted poorly with the underlining vinyl. There are also what appears to be scorching of the surface from perhaps a heat gun in an attempt to remove the vinyl by the PO. As you can see, it's a disaster. I hate vinyl, especially the piss poor vinyl that Shelby put on the GT-H and Shelby GTs.

I am redoing the entire car with new black base, gold striping and clear - including the rocker panel stripes/lettering. I knew this going into the purchase agreement and as you can imagine the car was difficult to sell in the condition it is in. I always wanted to repaint one of these cars anyway since the factory did such a bad job with the vinyl and paint. It just ended up being an excellent negotiation tool for me to get the price way down.

The car was purchased by me from the first owner in LA, who purchased it from Galpin Ford, who purchased it at auction from Hertz. I'm looking forward to having it ready by the June show. The PO changed out the wheels, tires, rotors and most importantly......had a polished Intercooled Whipple professionally installed. I'm told it did 450 RWHP on the dyno with 9 psi. I was concerned with longevity by supercharging the stock 4.6, but it's been going strong for 20K miles this way, so I think it's safe (:

Just make sure the tune safe and you shouldn't have any problems! I beat hell out of my 4.6 for 2+years with over 25,000 miles with no problems.

More progress already today

The hood needed to be "notched" a bit to fit the blower pulley. The hole used to be half this size but was crude. Mike is enlarging it to prepare for some "dished" in fiberglass to make a reverse hump to fit the pulley and provide a clean and finished factory appearance. We are not going to use the underhood mat so we will be prepping and painting the underside in a nice factory black finish.

Wow! I rented one of those back when Hertz was doing that. Impressive car. Yours looks incredible!

You don't happen to have the wheels that came on it from the factory do you?

Actually, I do have a set of BRAND NEW OEM wheels for this car. The Foose 20s that are installed on the car now are for sale.

Ah, nice! Where did you get them, if you don't mind my asking? Ford does not sell them in grey, only silver. And I want grey.

I bought from this guy..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wheels-Ford-Mustang-set-of-4-05-06-07-08-09-10-OEM-New-Take-Off-6R3Z1007C-17-x-8-/321044809390?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4abfc306ae

I made him an offer $500 for 4 plus $85 shipping and he accepted. Pretty good deal! The wheels are perfect - not even any marks from wheel weights - brand new.
