So... when is everybody's car(s) coming out this year ?

Full insurance goes back on the orange beastie Monday, but it won't see the roads until after a couple of really good rain-falls to wash the salt away.

Still have to install the rack bushings, new TB, new CAI and finally get the thing over to DB for a tune.

Am thinking I "may" be in the market for a new clutch this year, was making a little noise at the end of last season, but we'll see.

Putting the battery in tomorrow. I'll maybe take it for a quick ride or two while the roads are dry before I start fixing stuff. I'll do them one at a time though so it's driveable in between. I hope to have it at the spring cruise.

Insurance will most likely go on today....3/29 ... then it is just a mater of un-packing the winter storage materials. So perhaps this weekend...

I know people are getting antzy but Rod has sound advice. Wait... not only is there still snow but the pavement is still coated with nasty DOT formula salt

Our insurance billing is April 15th, so April 15th insurance will go back on Wizzy BUT still not out yet. Waiting for road to be better , BUT a lot of pot holes and MNDOT is making a mess fixing them.

I had to go out on Saturday, but didn't really want to yet. Car got dirty and no way to clean it until temps are warm enough since I don't have a heated garage. I had an opportunity to unload my wheels/tires, but it necessitated a trip to Roseville. I had fun (:

Mine has been out for a couple weeks already, salt is of no concern as long as i wash it thoroughly every day or every other day.

Put your big boy pants on and just do it, that's how. Just make sure the soapy water is fairly warm!

Hi Randy,

I've found that when it is cold and damp (like what we have had last 2 weeks), that I can't get the car dry easily. Waffle towel, microfiber towel, whatever - just seems to want to streak all over the new black paint. Hot water makes it seem even worse. I managed an ONR clean with two buckets and 4 towels the other day, but it wasn't easy getting a streak/scratch free wipe. I never noticed this with my other cars, but this black detailing is going to be a beeotch! Looking forward to it more (:

I totally forgot that it is fresh paint. Well, as nice as you keep your cars I'm sure it won't take you long to figure out what procedure works best.

Gonna have to rain a lot harder than this. Literally PILES of salt up and down the roads still.

Aaannnndddd more salt today... I hate it... Mine is sitting in a pole barn in Dayton and probably won't come out until mid May... dumb.

I did buy a new car last month though and am loving driving it. I'll never go back to driving a 2wd sedan here. I never realized what I was missing out on with an AWD SUV

It was fun driving today with 3mm of tread on my truck tires. I keep telling myself I can take care of it later because winter is over/soon and it doesn't matter if I wait a bit until I have more free time after school is out of session. I keep kicking myself in the ass for this repeated mistake as well as a similar choice NOT to repair the snowblower.
