I may have one for you in a few weeks... shaker 1000... I'm having an aftermarket unit installed (Pioneer) and I need to lose the head unit and the 6 disc changer as the changer is draining my battery... I'll let you know if it's working properly for sale.

Battery draw on these 'Stangs is a problem. I have found that if you make sure to shut off your radio and other accessories BEFORE turning the key off that things will be a LOT better.

Yeah, my radio has killed my previous battery ... I don't want it doing it again, so I'm going with something other than the stock unit, which wasn't my plan.

I've never had a problem with battery drain, but probably wouldn't notice since I drive my Mustang every day. The original battery in my '05 was just replaced last January, and I never had a problem starting, even in the dead of winter.

I once found a decent head unit on eBay for a reasonable price, and it worked well - no complaints.

the only issue I have is that I don't know if it's the head unit or the 6 disc CD exchanger causing the issue...? the head unit is stating "CD Error" but there are no CD's in the exchanger. I've read on other forums that it's a pretty common issue for Ford's head unit or 6-disc exchanger to malfunction or fail, but there's no way i'm paying the 500 dollars to get a new head unit from Ford, that's why I'm just going to have a Pioneer double Din installed instead.

I have a Lincoln "Soundmark" 6-CD head unit. It looks the same to me as a Shaker, but i don't know if it's different or not. It did operate an amp and sub.

The radios work great for when you are stuck in boring traffic. :cool2:
