It's been ages since I've posted here, but I've got the itch to fix my car and drive it this summer. Long story short, I have plug that blew out and killed the threads with it. After some digging it seems like a Time-sert is the best way to go without replacing the head. Does anyone know if there are places that will rent out the kit, or a shop that is experienced with installing them? Just trying to avoid spending the $400 for a kit to fix one spark plug hole, but it is cheaper than a new head.

Thanks. Got a quote from them. For the price I can just get the Time-Sert kit and do it myself.

Dealership Pricing is NEVER the going rate. That is simply a dealership pricing. Which is usually 10-20% markup on parts, and $120/hr Labor.
