Greetings and salutations! My name is Mike, and I'm from Virginia, MN... the far north.

In 2008 I purchase a brand new Grabber Orange Mustang GT Premium from Benna Ford in Superior, WI. They are a certified ROUSH dealer, so I had them install a stage 2 package.... complete with body kit, exhaust and suspension upgrades. I had many future plans for the car.

I had always been a HUGE fan of the Boss 302 and when Saleen came out with the Parneli Jones addition, I wanted to combine new and old and create my own...

I ordered the car mistakingly in an automatic, as it was suppose to be my daily driver (and I had not yet learned to drive manual) but with the upgrades and things I have since done, it is now a full blown "show car". I've spent quite a few years building it up, as it now has a fully airbrushed engine bay with an M90 ROUSHcharger... I wanted to stick with ROUSH parts, as they were the only items that maintained the factory warranty (which is now up). I've titled the car as a Roush Stage 3 "clone" or "replica" and in no way, shape or form call the car authentic. Unfortunately other forums think it's beyond useless to build a car with Roush parts, and you'd be better off buying an "authentic" Roush... which just wasn't in my budget at the time I ordered the car.

I haven't done much to the car the last few years as I've just been enjoying it and driving it to and from some local car shows and on weekends. It's mileage is incredibly low at just over 4k. This year, I'm in the process of looking for some new wheels/tires and change up the gearing, maybe an LSD and a torque converter. I'm considering having the car re-tuned as Roush did re-calibrate the ECU when the s/c was installed. I'm also looking at maybe a header/X-pipe combo to compliment the Roush off road exhaust.

I've also recently taken ownership of my second SVT Focus. This time around it's a 2004 EAP #1522 in Screaming Yellow. The car came from Greenville, SC and has 64K on it... it's completely stock (I added a FSWerks strut tower bar) and is my daily driver. I really enjoy the car's peppy engine, 6-speed and the remarkable handling... the gas mileage is nice too! I've had the car gone over at Autonation of White Bear, a big thanks to Steve!!

Hmmm... will have to bring the snake up to the cabin some time (just south of Eveleth) and we can go out and play.

My mom taught in Virginia for many years, health/phys.ed (Mrs Strumbel).

Welcome!

Really like that engine compartment!

I remember drooling over the Roush Mustangs at Benna a few years ago.

It's been a lot of time, a lot of money and a lot of work on this car... and of course, it's NEVER done. Thank you for the kind words.

Any relation to "Buzz"?

Would be nice to have a few more "Stang's" of that nature up here... we have a HUGE car show this weekend (Aug. 17) on the Main Street of Virginia... with an ever larger "cruise" down Main Street on Friday (Aug. 16). Should be fun!

Ok,
1) Is the cabin at a lake? If so, which one?
2) When do you guys have time to get up that way with all of your kids sporting events?:kickbutt:

Nice car Mike!
