Car Craft Summer Nationals - 2014 (July 18-20)

The Car Craft Summer Nationals are just around the corner so it's time to start planning. To ensure we have enough space roped off we need an accurate count of who all will be there.

Keep in mind that these spaces are reserved for paid club members only, if you'd like to park with the club then you need to register to become a member here: Membership (http://www.mnfords.com/membership.php). Membership is only $10/year and if you're planning to go to Car Craft it is money well spent as parking can be difficult to come by.

A few notes:

All spots are on a first come first serve basis and are saved only through 10am each day. We need an exact list of who all is coming, please post your name, a description of the vehicle you are bringing, and what days you will be there.

So what is this tent regulation change I've been hearing about? Would like ti know so I don't drag mine there and not be able to use it. If I bring it and can't use it , I would have to leave the seats down. I've looked for any info on this and haven't found any.

They came by around 2:30 last year and said we could setup. Before that I had tape from tree to tree and was told to take it down.

As directors and I have discussed off the forum before the topic came up in this thread, we're going to look at options early in the day. If we get an opportunity to put cones up early, we will. If we have to wait, we wait. We're working with one of our sponsors depending on where their booth is placed.

We'll do our best to get everyone in but there is NEVER a guarantee.

We are aware of the rules and restrictions and appreciate everyone's input.

Well... I WAS there today, but my electric fan motor decided to take a crap sitting in line on Como, so I limped it as far as I could, but ended up across from O'Gara's by the main gate. It was spewing coolant by that time too.

Anyway, bought a new fan and all seems to be well. I'm a little gunshy now though, so I'm not sure I want to sit in that long Saturday morning line. If I get there later tomorrow and there isn't a spot for me, then so be it.

Thanks to everyone who came out this weekend and helped with moving cones/parking cars throughout the weekend. We had a blast and look forward to doing it again next year.

I know!! To make it even more shocking, we have just about every weekend free through August. September is when it starts getting iffy again. All depends if JJ does Fall Basketball or not. Both kids will primarily tie us up during weekenights now that they are both doing high school athletics. (JJ for Basketball/Baseball, Nic for Cheerleading/Gymnastics)
