Don't know for sure yet, but likely NO.
D1 Summer Classic (AAU Basketball) is that weekend and it typically falls on the baseball state tournament weekend as well.

Dan, I see you are thinking of getting to the fairgrounds at 2:30pm. Based on past years, that may be too late to at least block off some curb space with cars, in advance of putting up tape. Maybe check with Carson or Jenn to ask what they think based on last year. Are you thinking of getting the same location again? Will you need any of us to help that day? Also, are you sending e-mails or posting on the public forum so everyone makes sure to see it being that they may not have paid their dues yet and may not be able to sign in? Just asking.

Can't block off spots until then but I'll be there earlier than that. :)

I didn't send any E-mail but I did post on Facebook.

Moved this to the Clubhouse so everyone can see it. You won't be able to park with us unless you have a current registration but everyone should be able to view & post here.

I'll be there Thursday to mark spots!

Mustang Sally (car) and I will be there all three days. Will pay dues at show, probably Thursday. Would be nice if we didn't have vendors behind us all the way, so might place easy-ups , especially if they have that restriction on setting up on the boulevard. Just sayin'

Dan and I had discussed that also, last year we got lucky with the AV FORD racing peeps, but they are not there this year.

Will you have a final list of cars by tonight so we know how many spaces we need to save tomorrow? Dan, I will call you in the morning before heading over to see where I should be if we are looking at a different spot to park.

Arla,

Yes, Dan and I have been working on the "list", it has grown by a couple today :). But tonight kinda has to be the cutoff for the reserving the spots because you can't rope off xx spots and have 5 more show up!!!

Hi Dan, I should be around early pm Thursdays. I'll bring the tape with. I haven't found anything about not allowing tents on the Boulevard. At back to the 50s there were tents setup in front of vendors. Is there somewhere it states you can't have them this year?

I'll try to save a dozen or so spots for the club to park. If we don't get that many people we can spread out and have a bit more room between cars.

I heard this last night from a friend going to up. They have more vendors and over 7,000 cars registered for this event, more than CarCraft has had over the past few years. This will be hit this year.

Do you think the words Car Craft turned a lot of people off? Mainly Ford owners? And now that it's called Street Machine Nationals?

Okay, I misread what your message was. I can't speak for other people, but the way I see it, Car Craft is a bigger name than almost any other magazine of its type short of Hot Rod. It was definitely a factor in DRAWING me to the show. As for why it's still growing, you've got me.

The club has blocked off the same spot as previous years. Corner of Cooper & Lee. Kitty corner from Giggles in front of the chicken/pork chop stand.

It was a great time, not as busy as when it was Car Craft Nationals. I would think that this show will grow into being bigger in years to come. I think that CC will not do well in Wisconsin and the people there will migrate to Minnesota.
All in all I will look forward to going next year.

It was a good show. Hopefully they can get more vendors to come back here. Talked to a friend who was at Wi, said it was a good show, but had nothing to compare it to. Didn't know attendance #s. They got hit hard on Saturday at 3pm by the storm that went through here friday night. There was some damage. He got his car into the hauler just before it hit.
looking forward to next year here.

The vids I saw of Milwaukee were all in a parking lot psrked like at the mall back to back. Only cruising was in and out of the gate.

Have friends out there said they heard from events that it was between 8 & 9 thousand. Drew a lot of eastern states who bed helped. It was a bust because Saturday was bad weather and tent cancelled part of the cc drag off at the Mile. The ventue wasn't as nice as our fairground But they actually were allowed to cruise and stomp around the outskirts without law enforcement hassle. Plus they used the infield for their autocross.

Establishments around town too were doing stuff for the car guys too. Something that the cities here lack.

Jason,

That's different than what I heard from the old car craft people at the fairgrounds. Interesting, all of the pics we saw on Facebook showed all kinds of empty spot and very few cars. The show formerly known as car craft at the fairgrounds this year was the largest it's been as far as I can think back. The autocross this year was ridiculously big and fast they use the back parking lot and it was a blast

Interesting... all reports I've heard were under 1,000 cars at Car Craft.

Then I apologize. I don't know why he'd lie? My friend is giving me a line a crud unless he counted a few 2 many 0s. Lol He showed me some a couple pics but they must of been only of the several where he and his crew was parked. I believe you guys. ;)

well my number at Street Machine was #0069....

I sure hope there was more than 800 cars or the event was a complete FAIL... :)
I wonder if a lot of preregistered didn't show?
I heard is was a cluster-bleep too. Drag racing was not next door, more like 45-60 minutes away and was an additional $50, not included like they advertised...
