SUGAR LOAF FORD’S ANNUAL MUSTANG RUN

“All Roads Lead to Sugar Loaf Ford’s 9th Annual Mustang Run!”

Saddle your pony and get ready to ride!

It’s that time again and we’re so excited to see all of our old friends and perhaps meet new ones at our 9th Annual Mustang Gallop benefitting the Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure.” The event begins at 9 AM Sunday, July 11th with assembly on the Sugar Loaf Ford lot, Highway 61 West, Winona, MN. While we wait and watch the parade of beautiful Mustangs arriving there will be a spot to have your photo taken with you and your car with your own camera. There’ll be music for your enjoyment, refreshments, vendors and the sheer delight of the sights and sounds of the “ born in America” cars we all love.

Please check in at the desk located in the showroom upon arrival. There you’ll receive a gift bag, map of the designated route, and a copy of the Pony Tails annual newsletter. There you will also receive your lunch tickets and a receipt for your $10.00 donation.

We’ll leave the “corral” at approximately 11 AM escorted by Winona’s finest law enforcement personnel. We’ll cross the interstate bridge to Wisconsin where we’ll enjoy the scenic hills and valleys passing through Arcadia, Independence and other small bergs in Trempealeau County travelling a little over 100 miles. Since we’ll be on the road for a few hours, we’ll have designated “necessary” stops along the way.

Our final destination will be Hansen’s Hold Up where we’ll enjoy lunch outside on the decks overlooking the beautiful Arcadia valley. The “Hold-Up Girls “ will be serving BBQ pork sandwiches, cole slaw, chips, ice cream and soda. Entertainment will be provided by local DJ Rick Lane and his karoke show. We’ll also have remote control car races, hula hoop contests and burn outs. There’ll be an opportunity to win a Shelby Mustang jacket straight from the Shelby Plant in Las Vegas.

It’s not on our run, but we recommend Elmer’s Car & Toy museum to those of you who haven’t seen it. It’s approximately 10 miles from Hansen’s. Admission is $7.00 per person for an amazing experience! Ask JoAn for more details.

Commemorative Mustang Run T-Shirts will be available. They’ll be $10.00 each for sizes up to XL, $12.00 for XXL & better.

Once again, to expedite our food service, reservations must be made prior to the day of the run and lunch tickets must be paid for at the registration table at Sugar Loaf Ford the day of the run. We’re happy to and prefer to accept credit card payments with your registration form in advance.

As we say at the beginning of a run, we’re going on a specific route. If you choose to follow our route, you do so of your own free will. Should something harmful befall you while on our run, you are solely responsible for your actions and deeds. Sugar Loaf Ford assumes no liability or responsibility.

In conclusion, cost to you is $10.00 minimum donation per car, $8.50 per person for the lunch, and the price of your T-Shirt should you choose to order one. Pre-registration is a MUST. Here’s 3 convenient ways to do it. Please email JoAn at jmoham@sugarloafford.com, US Mail, Attention JoAn, Sugar Loaf Ford, Inc. PO Box 376, Winona, MN 55987 or Call Kathy Barnholtz @ 507-454-5170 OR 888-412-3673.

We’re really looking forward to seeing all of you again this year. Can’t wait to hear the call, “Ladies and Gentlemen, Start your engines, then off we go! 

They've thought about openning it up, but are worried about being able to support that much larger of a group.

You think YOU get the shaft? Try telling people you're working on an Edsel and see what happens.
