Hi -- I thought I'd ask the club. Did Ford quit making GT500's in 2013? I know that was the 200 mph year with the 5.8 TVS blower, etc.

Seems like everything today is GT350 or FPGT350something or other... Seems to me that that new flat-plane crank engine (a la Ferrari) is the one to get. I've had my Terminator for 12 years now and am thinking of selling next Spring (someone will get a creampuff '03).

My best friend has a 2016 Z06 and it is very, very fast. I love the rawness of the Termi, but may opt for something different (GT350x) or civilized (Z06) next year...

Please email me with info about club activities. I miss the old days (circa 05).

Merry Christmas!

Warren L.

P.S. -- I bought a ton of Terminator mods when I first got my car and haven't installed any. Let me know if you want a single-blade Accufab, polished Plenum, Eaton 112, JLT Carbon Fiber Intake or Koni (maybe they're KYB, can't remember) rear shocks?

Greetings Warren,

The board isn't what it used to be. I don't think one needs to go back 11 years though... maybe less than five :). I still check in periodically and keep tabs on FORD happenings.

To answer your question: GT500 was around until early/mid 2014'. Last one sold: http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2013/08/15/last-ford-mustang-shelby-gt500-sells-for-500000/. Upon 2015, FORD switch production over to the GT350. According to whom I've talk with and what I've read on Mustang Forums, etc.... The GT500 will be at least offered through 2018.

Merry Christmas

Cool -- Who in town has anything in inventory? The Minneapolis car show was kinda weak relative to performance cars (save a couple of NSX). Anybody own a GT350 or GT350R?

Thanks!
Warrlac

It depends, What are you looking for a 2015+gt350? Or a Shelby in general?
