The Car Craft Summer Nationals are just around the corner so it's time to start planning. I will be helping reserve parking spaces on Thursday for the club, to ensure we have enough space roped off I need an accurate count of who all will be there.

Keep in mind that these spaces are reserved for paid club members only, if you'd like to park with the club then you need to register to become a member here: Membership (http://www.mnfords.com/content.php/133-membership). Membership is only $20/year and if you're planning to go to Car Craft it is money well spent as parking can be difficult to come by. As an added bonus, anyone who signs up to become a member in the next month will receive fresh baked cookies from Lady Cobra.

A few notes:

All spots are on a first come first serve basis and are saved only through 10am each day. I need an exact list of who all is coming, please post your name, a description of the vehicle you are bringing, and what days you will be there.

Sample:

John Coletti
Red 2000 Cobra R
Fri, Sat, Sun

If haven't registered for Car Craft yet then go here: Car Craft Registration (http://registration.familyevents.com/fasttrack/wbe/wbe_p1_main.aspx?oc=10&cc=WBE105291) Discounted pricing of $45 is available until July 11th so act now and save yourself a few bucks :fork:

Not sure why the question? He has a paid family membership and can bring more than one car. And no...there are people that are members of the club that aren't on the forum. At the last AVF meeting it was recommended that car craft parking reservations be forwarded to you. Given that members not on the forum don't have your contact info, I'm simply facilitating the reservation process. Please update the list. Thanks.

with a response like this I would assume that you are trying to get parking for people that are not members. right on to the defensive about it before it is even brought up. sure send the info to nottn but it is for nottn to decide if it is valid or not. if there is no contact info for these said members and no way to validate them I say let them hang to dry until it is valid. as a paid member that is my vote.

and dont you dare say there is no contact info for nottn his info is all over. see link in his sig.

It's a reasonable question, I'm merely trying to keep the list accurate and ensure that there are adequate parking spots for everyone. Plus it makes things easier at the show.

I could have sworn he was on the old forum, hence I figured I'd throw some business his way and help out a fellow club member, I didn't realize he hadn't signed up yet.

Wow. Perhaps you shouldn't make assumptions. I'm fairly certain that the directors have a list of the paid members and their current status. Not everyone is one the forum and therefore not everyone knows about information in a signature post.

It's always a challenge the more cars you get, I've been helping the Impala club for the last 10 years and I've learned that you need to be on top of things when it comes to parking. Some cars look the same and when you don't know/recognize every person, if you don't have a detailed list sometimes a car or 2 can slip in and a paid member who's expecting a spot is left hanging. That's something I'd like to avoid.

Right here is where you made a huge assumption...we are paid members and have been for several years now...and have not felt like being on the board...our choice...our right...that was Hmmrdwn's point..that we had no way of communicating with Jason...so yes you misread the post and jumped to conclusions.....and u really need to lose the attitude..we are not 12 year olds...we are adults... she was just doing us a favor

I posted "IN" a long time ago on the "other" thread. Not sure which days I'll be there, but I plan to be there with what appears to be the only vintage stang (or other Ford prior to '83) on the list. I may also park for 1 day with the UMRSAAC guys since I support both clubs, and they are trying this for the first time. Too bad we couldn't park in the same general area together like previously proposed.... Not sure what I'm bringing yet, but likely '65 Mustang.

I also have a 10x10 vendor type tent that is heavy and too large to fit in my Mustang. If there is a need for it, I would be happy to offer it for use. Somebody simply needs to pick it up and return it right away as I'll need it the following weekend to do my job. It's 6' long fully contracted, so you may need a truck or SUV to haul it.

I may also park for 1 day with the UMRSAAC guys since I support both clubs, and they are trying this for the first time. Too bad we couldn't park in the same general area together like previously proposed.... Not sure what I'm bringing yet, but likely '65 Mustang.

Troy if you can let us know which days you plan to be there and to park with us, would greatly help. We will have a list at the show and it helps us to know who we need to watch out for on each of the days. Thanks!

Just a reminder that you have 5 hours left to pre-register and save yourself $20

Registration materials can be picked up by the "Giraffe Lot" which can be reached by Gates 14 and 15 off of Como Ave.

Friday Morning, you will enter Gate 14 off of Como Ave.
There will be large signs on Snelling and Como showing where to enter.
Cars will be lined up on Como Ave starting around 5am to get in. Gates open at 8am usually.

I'm sure someone will come along and correct me if I'm wrong.

FYI, parking spaces for the club have been reserved. Jenn will post up a map with the specifics later, but we are in the same location as last year (Lee & Cooper). All the spots are on the left side of the road this time (3/4 of the road has been reserved), and a few spots were wrapped around the corner in front of the burger stand.

Here's a map I did for my Impala club that shows where the registration area is along with where the MNFE club is parked. Jenn will have one up later:

Still have to go to court Friday morning - F**K!!! I guess I'll have to roll the dice and see if I can get a parking space whenever I get there.
