I figure I am stuck in the dinky town house my wife bought for at least one more year, probably more like two. With a baby on the way we could really use some more storage space. I am considering finding a place to store and work on my Mustang. Then I can use the garage for extra storage.

Does anyone know of storage/shops in the St Paul area that a person can rent. I am looking for some where that I could store and work on my Mustang.

I know when I lived in Iowa a group of guys went in on a large shop and divided it up into individual areas. It was a big man cave for car enthusiast. Anything like that around St Paul?

Thanks,
Rob

That's already full of "projects".

A buddy had something like this in the Madison WI area where we stored and worked on projects... been keeping my ears open, but haven't heard about anything like it in the 5 years I've lived here in MN.

I have actually considered buying a piece of land and building a small shop. Then down the road when we can get out of the town house we would have a house built on the land too.

Anyone want to buy an overpriced townhouse :banghead:

Good luck finding a place like you are looking for. The only ones I've seen would cost as much per month as your townhouse. As for buying land, pretty much no city council anywhere will allow you to build a garage on a plot of land without a house first.

Yeah I figure I am kind of dreaming. Just wish there was some storage units that would allow a person to work on there car. I am sure its a liability issue.

It depends by how the definition of "house" is interpreted. House could be a all in 1 shack. Which would be an asset to a MAN CAVE :) (Bathroom, kitchen, lounge....) all in one.
