I'm trying to keep more up to date on the forums, and one of the things that would help me is using New Posts. The problem I have is that I can't seem to find a way to easily mark everything in the world as old to me, so that I only see what is new since I last came on.
Any help here?
You can use the "mark forums read" option under "forum actions" - that will clear all "old" ones from being reflected as unread.
Then, you can just start fresh and read the new ones using the "new posts" item.
Ok, I wanted to make sure I was doing that right.
I just realized that what I am seeing is not "new" posts, but "hot" posts.
I did the forums read a bunch of times but was going nuts trying to figure out why individual forums were still showing me red icons!
