yep, done them many times. you also need silicon sealant (rtv for the cover), 2-3 bottles of friction modifier, 3-4 quarts of 75w140 fluid. and idk if you want the axel seals done since the axels will be out.
Sounds great. I can pickup the lube and friction modifier at AV Ford and the RTV. When I changed to 4.10 gears back at about 40,000 miles, (78,000 miles now) we changed axles, bearing and seals, so they should be ok. If we can find a day that works for you, I can have the car on jack stands, wheels off, calipers off, and I think ABS sensors off, cover off, maybe c-clips off. You get the idea, so it's all ready to remove the spider gears and old clutches and re-install the new clutches. Let me know what day and time works best for you and how much you'd charge for the help. Thanks again, Curt
well if you have it all down to just pulling out the carrier and putting the clutches in and then reinstalling carrier it would be very cheap, just depends how much of the work you want to do. if you get the axels out, and want to do the reassembly, id say $40 ish, if you want me to do more work the price goes up.
Sounds reasonable to me. I'll tear down as much as I can. Let me know what day and time works best for you. I'm open to weekends or weeknights. Thanks again, Curt
