    Air Bags

So in my accident Monday the drivers side airbag went off. I got a new air bag and both front sensors from U pull. I have installed the sensors but how do I know it is safe to hook up the air bag? Do I need to have the truck (1997 Ranger) hooked up to a scan tool to verify it is safe? If I need to do this anybody here willing to hook the bomb up for me for a small monetary fee (I'm a little chicken shit)?

I say hook it up with the battery undone, then reconnect. worst case is you aren't in the car when it happens.
