    Foreign Fords?

    Hello all from Princeton, Minnesota.
I never struck out to be a Ford enthusiast, it just kind of happened.
I can't stand anything built by Chrysler since the K car came out.
    AMC went out of business.
It seems that every import collector car that I have ever owned, some hillbilly has to come along and tell me to put a Chevy small block in it, so screw em.

I thought I would join the forums and try to contact other Capri, Merkur owners in the area.

Anybody looking for Capri parts or service are welcome to contact me.

    1985 F150
    2002 Mustang
    76 Capri "Le Cat Black"
    76 Capri V8, T5, 8", scary
70 +/- Capri 4 cyl full cage race car
    76 Capri S/3 Chastain clone

Just to be difficult, and brag a bit,
My wife has 2 AMC Javelins.

Chastain.jpg 76 MK2 Capri with a Chastain S/3 body kit, 2.8 V6, 4 speed, Offenhauser 4 barrel intake, Holly 4 barrel carb, headers. the most interesting thing on this car, in my opinion, is the "Black Stuntmen Association" sticker in the glove box.

ride heigth comparison.jpg My 2002 Mustang next to my 1976 Capri MK2. I can never remember the year of the motor :P, it is either the last year of the Mustang Carb, or the first year of the Mustang Fuel injected. Anyhow, it is balanced and blueprinted, full stud, .030 bored, forged pistons, Edelbrock 289 torquer intake, Holley 650, GM HEI dizzy. T5 trans sends power to the Detroit locker in the Ford 8". Way too much power to comfortably throw at an unstrengthened unibody, it twists something fierce on hard take off.
