    An interesting repair... need help.

Well I FINALLY get the damn contour title transferred, and on my way home it started sputtering like it wanted to explode...
Come to find the previous owner decided to re-engineered the main fuel line, that lost a 2 inch section of the hard plastic, with a rubber line and 2 clamps.
Over all I lost a half tank of fuel, and had a half heart attack.
Now I need to fix it, and the part is discontinued.
    ANY THOUGHTS??

Put in another filter that fits the gap. Problem solved.

From the pic, the only difference from the missing factory piece of line, is they put a rubber tube and 2 clamps over it.

im gonna hit the parts store on friday, being i have a funeral tomorrow, and see if they have either a replacement hose for the section or a filter that I can put inline. Once fixed though, this car is going back up for sale. It has been nothing but a pain in my rump since I've owned it.
The only good thing is that I finally got the title transferred today, finally. lol
